The Commissioner is impressing on Principals, teachers and parents to ensure that proper transportation arrangements are made, and a senior person is designated the monitor and control same after the sports meeting.
Meanwhile Commissioner James is also calling on vendors operating in the vicinity of the sports meeting to refrain from selling alcoholic beverages to minors.
The concern was drawn to the attention of the Commissioner and he has directed Officers to be vigilant and closely monitor the vending activities on the outer perimeter of the sporting event.
Vendors are also advised to keep in their possession the required licenses during their vending operations.
The cooperation and assistance of the public would be very helpful in monitoring the situation.
