The Political Leader, Dr the Right Hon Keith Mitchell, National Executive and members of the New National Party pay tribute and farewell to a dear friend, Sir Royston O Hopkin KCMG as he transitions.

Sir Royston Hopkin, a son of our soil of remarkable qualities and character will forever be remembered for his invaluable contribution and service to the tourism sector locally, regionally and internationally.

 The plethora of accolades he received including his knighthood by Her Majesty the Queen for his sterling leadership and management of the world-renowned Spice Island Beach Resort and service to the tourism sector will forever be etched in Grenada’s history.

 His extensive and distinguished contribution to the hospitality and tourism industry spanning over 55 years is without a doubt, unequalled and serves to boost entrepreneurial spirit in Grenada and the diaspora.

 He will forever be remembered for his love and empathy for persons in need and his dedication to excellence in every facet of his life.

We cherish the memories he wrote with his life; a true Grenadian icon.
