NATIONAL FOOD SECURITY COMMITTEE BEGINS WOK ON NATIONAL PLAN

St. George’s, Grenada, November 10, 2008_The Cabinet appointed National Food Security Committee (NFSC) has started developing a comprehensive Food Security Plan. The Committee, chaired by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture, Mrs. Gemma Bain-Thomas, has representation from the public and private sectors and non-governmental organizations.

St. George’s, Grenada – November 6, 2008: The Cabinet Advisory Committee meets weekly to carry out the mandate given by the Executive of the State.  Thus far numerous Contracts and Agreements have been reviewed and recommendations submitted for the consideration of the Prime Minister.
