Sunday, October 24th 2010 – Miami, Florida: Digicel, the best value operator in the Caribbean, Central America and the Pacific, today joins the Shark Football Team in kicking off the Shark Community Football League in Nassau, Bahamas.
The League features 12 teams, predominantly made up of Haitian Nationals living in the Bahamas and gets underway today at the AC Field on Cowpen Road in Nassau, as the Marble Football Club takes on Dinamo Nassau Village at 3pm. Immediately following that match, at 5pm, the Yellow Elder Strikers will take on Etoile de Cowpen Road.
The competition runs for the next 13 weeks and culminates with a showdown at AC Field with the winner walking away with a Digicel Soccer Cup Trophy. Digicel Top Up will be available for purchase at each match so that those living in the Bahamas can keep in touch with loved ones at home in the Caribbean.
