COMFORT SUITES PARADISE ISLAND EARNS CERTIFICATE OF EXCELLENCE

PARADISE ISLAND, Bahamas (October 9, 2013) – Comfort Suites Paradise Island has been recognized with the 2013 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence, which recognizes the top performing businesses on TripAdvisor.

“At TripAdvisor we understand the power of traveler reviews – and today we are proud to recognize Comfort Suites Paradise Island for the exceptional feedback you’ve earned from travelers over the past year,” said Stephen Kaufer, President and CEO of TripAdvisor, the global travel site that offers advice from travelers and a wide variety of travel choices.

Comfort Suites Paradise Island is putting the finishing touches on its comprehensive multi-million dollar renewal and renovation to give it a luxuriant and tasteful ambiance for the many repeat visitors who return to be treated like family by the friendly, accommodating staff.

This the hotel’s most comprehensive upgrade since it first opened. It includes the refurbishment of its 232 Junior Suites and features new bedding, lush sofa beds, elegant draperies, lamps, notable artwork and plush area rugs installed in the bedrooms. Guest bathroom renovations include new granite counter tops and soft mirror lighting. Meeting and event spaces have also been enhanced.

The TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence is awarded to businesses that rank in the top 10 percent worldwide for traveler feedback. It is these guests’ plaudits that have given the hotel the recent accolade even as the refurbishment was continuing.

“The team at Comfort Suites Paradise Island is extremely proud of this distinction, because the honor was generated from our guests,” said Earle Bethell, general manager of Comfort Suites Paradise Island. “Our staff members receive unparalleled training from the Atlantis resort’s highly regarded hospitality training program, Atlantis University. And, quite simply, they love taking care of everyone who stays with us.”

Bethell adds that even though Comfort Suites rates are extremely competitive with the Atlantis resort next door, “our relationship with Atlantis is very attractive for families.”

That relationship includes easy access and full use of resort facilities at Atlantis. This means guests of Comfort Suites Paradise Island are allowed to use the resort’s swimming pools, private beach, casino, waterscapes, Lazy River Ride, water slides, health spa, tennis, and Kids Camp. Guests also have full signing privileges at the Atlantis restaurants and lounges. Comfort Suites Paradise Island adds even greater value by providing WiFi, in-room refrigerators, microwave ovens, and a full American breakfast at no charge, while some properties on the island charge guests for these amenities.

Director of Sales Shan Sands adds: “Some hotels charge $30 for a breakfast, just imagine that for a family of four!” Cost-conscious parents can find further savings with hotel vouchers which offer kids meals for $7 in several nearby restaurants.

Despite the proximity and easy access to the adjacent resort and all its recreational offerings, many guests spend as much time in the Comfort Suites Paradise Island pool as they do next door. Guests welcome the secure environment for children to swim and play making it easier for parents to relax in the sun. Indeed, Sands notes that restful days at Comfort Suites Paradise Island are a welcome alternative for guests who have been actively exploring the many nearby attractions.

In addition to spacious, well-equipped suites which offer vacationing families added convenience and ample room to spread out, newly renovated meeting and event spaces feature the latest in audio-visual technology. Sands reports: “With these great meeting rooms we are seeking more small business groups for corporate meetings in addition to weddings and honeymoons. We have a corporate floor, so our business guests don’t need to be disturbed by vacationing families. But, of course, they can bring theirs along to enjoy our slice of paradise.”

Renovations will be fully completed by the start of the winter season in mid-December. The final phase of this work will not affect the guest vacation experience.
