In light of the bad publicity that Grenada has been getting in the local, regional, and international media. I am calling on the Prime Minister who is also minister of national security to make sure that the investigation into the police beating and killing of Canadian citizen Oscar Bartholomew be handled with extreme care.
As things are right now we can point out some mistakes in the investigation. In most civilized countries all officers involved is suspended from all duties, detained or arrested. These officers are allowed to remain and work at the crime scene where they can clean up and cover up evidence. So far no one has be interviewed, detained or arrested.
Mr Prime Minister how can we convince the world that the investigation into this matter will be fair. This investigation is heading in the wrong direction; this can have major negative impact on our tourist industry and economy. The people of Grenada are suffering enough already.
