Grenada’s Health Minister Sen. the Hon. Ann David-Antoine, this morning officially opened the 2008 athletics meet of the Grand Anse Private Academy at the Tanteen Recreational Ground. In delivering a short address the Minister highlighted the benefits of sports and exercise and commended the principal and staff of the school for organizing such an activity that have tremendous health benefits. She also commended the parents for coming out to give not only their child or children the necessary support but the school as well.In her words of advice to the parents the Health Minister told the parents that they should not only encourage their child or children to exercise and engage in healthy sporting activities but they should also encourage them to eat the right and healthy foods. Principal of the institution Ms. Sharon Ogilvie in her remarks commended the Minster for always supporting the Grand Anse Private Academy. She described the Minister as someone that can be called upon at anytime who is always willing to help in whatever way possible.She said for this year’s athletic season Sen.
