NDC STATEMENT ON MEETING HELD AT THE GRENADA TRADE CENTRE

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) wishes to thank the scores of Grenadians who took the time out of their busy schedules to be a part of the Town Hall Meeting facilitated by the party,  in our efforts to enhance the national conversation to save Camerhonge Park.

The Party also recognizes the sterling contributions of the panellists, Mr. Tim Byam of the Willie Redhead Foundation;  Mr. Jude Bernard , Former Director of Tourism;  Mr. Tyrone Buckmire, Grenada Foundation for Conservation;  Mr. Joel Greenidge, Former Grenada Youth Ambassador and Senator Ray Roberts, Senate Representative for the Trades Unions.

The NDC echoes the sentiments of members of the public  in emphatically calling on the Government of Dr. Keith Mitchell to respect the history and Patrimony of the Grenadian people and not proceed with or rescind the sale of Camerhonge Park.

The party reiterates its commitment to stand with every citizen, organization or group,  local or in the Diaspora,  willing to defend  the patrimony of the people of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique.
