The people of St.Mark on Thursday, rendered praise to Parliamentary Representative for the area, Hon, Dr. Claris Modeste Curwen at the official opening of the St.Mark’s Meat and Vegetable Market. The multifunctional facility, home to the Parliamentary Office, Road Office and Fish Market, was in dire need of repair and as it now stands several vendors and fisher folk are to benefit from this major undertaking. Minister Curwen during the ceremony spoke highly of her Government’s commitment to the physical, social and commercial development for Grenada. She encouraged people to become more dependent on home grown foods while addressing the issue of rising food prices. Present at the function was Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Mrs. Veda Bruno Victor who highlighted that such projects benefit not only the sector it represents but better living standards for the people of St.Mark and by extension Grenada as a whole..
