The Junior Murray Cricket Academy has taken another significant step in its continued commitment toward the development and promotion of the game of cricket here in Grenada.
On Saturday February 15th, 2014 the Academy moved, for the first time, to the more accommodating facilities of the National Cricket Stadium. With over 30 kids now part of the academy, the timeliness of the move is welcomed by all involved and allows for more extensive work.
Additionally, the Academy has secured another sponsor, Bermudez Biscuit. The recently formed partnership reiterates the importance placed on the development of the Nation’s youthful population by responsible Corporate Citizens.
The Junior Murray Cricket Academy welcomes Bermudez Biscuit on our quest to make cricket better in Grenada and Geo. F. Huggins (through its juice brand Ribena) for its pledge from the inception of the Academy.
In April of this year the Junior Murray Cricket Academy will host two 20/20 cricket matches against regional teams. On the 22nd an under-19 team led by former West Indies and Barbadian fast bowler Pedro Collins will engage a Junior Murray under-19 squad and one week later on the 29th a Junior Murray over-40 team will compete against an over-40 team from Trinidad and Tobago.
