Holiday Greetings from the National Democratic Congress

St. George’s, December 21, 2011 – The National Democratic Congress joins Christian Believers in Grenada and around the world in the observance of Christmas. Christmas is one of the most significant commemorations on the Christian calendar, marking the birth of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Christ reconciled us to God and in His humanity provided a perfect example of life’s finest virtues such love for others; humility; service to others; kindness; mercy; forgiveness for our fellowmen and women; and tending with care, concern and empathy to the needs of the most vulnerable among us. Let us at Christmas, and throughout the New Year, emulate and practice these virtues.

The National Democratic Congress wishes all the people of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique – including nationals living in the Diaspora – a Christ-centred Christmas and a fulfilling and prosperous New Year.

The Party extends special greetings to members of executive, particularly our Leader and Prime Minister, Honourable Tillman Thomas. We also wish to recognize the invaluable contribution that is being made to the Party and the country by NDC members and supporters, especially those holding positions at the constituency level of the Party’s apparatus.

Let us enjoy and celebrate the spirit of Christmas with dear family and friends. Let us also use the occasion to commit to redoubling our efforts to strengthen the Party, which remains the best vehicle for political, social and economic transformation and development of our Tri-island Nation.

May your Christmas be brightened by sharing, wherever you can, with someone less fortunate in your community and neighbourhood. God bless you all and have a wonderful Christmas and a bright and prosperous New Year, 2012.
