Free Microsoft clinic for business decision makers at TEXPO

ST. GEORGE’S, MAY 10, 2011 (GIS) – A Microsoft-affiliated company has expressed interest in partnering with local organisers of this month’s technology exposition, TEXPO.

Trinidad-based Caribbean TECH TrendZ Limited (CTTL) is a Microsoft Certified Partner for Learning Solutions (CPLS). It is one of many companies worldwide with the CPLS designation.

CTTL and other CPLS of Microsoft, the American multi-billion dollar corporation, are full-service independent training companies. They provide a range of information technology (IT) and developer training services based on Microsoft technologies to individuals and organizations.

Their clients include IT professionals, business decision makers, and information worker.

D.M. Ramdathsingh, CTTL’s Technical Director, wants to conduct a free “Official Microsoft Clinic’’ for a group of at least 50 business decision makers during TEXPO, which will be held in Grenada from May 16 – 19.

“Microsoft has the technology to empower companies worldwide and we would like to share some ideas with your event participants,’’ Mr. Ramdathsingh said.

The objective, he explained, is to allow companies to become “more productive while at the same time reducing costs.’’

The clinic will cover topics such as Unified Messaging Features; Message Policy and Compliance Features; Client Access Features; and Exchange Server 2010 Design Goals.

TEXPO, a roadshow designed to highlight the many uses and the importance of information and communication technology in modern society, is a joint endeavour of the Caribbean Telecommunications Union and the Ministry of Information, ICT & Culture of the Grenada Government.

Grenada is the 15th stop of the regional exposition, whose theme is “Harnessing the Power of Innovation: The Engine for ICT-enabled Development.’’

Among the features of TEXPO will be public discussions, a technology exhibition on May 17 and 18 at the Grenada Trade Centre, and an outreach caravan that will visit various parts of the nation.
