IT IS OFFICIAL NOW — and the Hon. Tevin Ishmael Andrews is in the office of the Minister of Carriacou & Petite Martinique Affairs, Government of Grenada — a label which in due course would include Petite Martinique & Carriacou, since the inhabitants of no land mass of this tri-island state should be relegated or treated with less attention and respect than those on any other, as has been the case for too long.

With the capable, efficient and innovative Dickon Mitchell as Prime Minister and the hard-working boots-on-the-ground Tevin Andrews as Minister of Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs and Local Government, I am confident that the sister isles will rise to their full potential in terms of their offerings in tourism, the creative economy and increased agro-value-added productivity, while among other things, continuing with the last NDC Administration’s efforts to make better use of renewable energy on these two islands.
