The Grenadian author of the new book power of a dream says he wants his publication to serve as a source of inspiration to help readers realize that goals set in life can be accomplished.
Quamme Joseph says he hopes the book, being launched in Grenada on Friday April 11, will offer readers a different view on life.
“I hope my book is the answer that many people are waiting for…The piece of jig saw, which completes the whole puzzle” Joseph said. “I hope it inspires & motivate everyone especially the youths and that it makes them conscious of where they are in life and instill or reinvigorate their passion for success; so that they will aspire to do great things and achieve their dreams” he added.
Joseph is believed to be the first Grenadian Author to write on what some consider being the unconventional topic of motivation.
The Power of a dream is Joseph’s account of his life as a child growing up on the small Island of Carriacou as the youngest of eleven siblings and the challenges he had to overcome.
“I hope to instill in them the importance of pursuing their dreams and playing life’s game fairly and most importantly, that it helps them realize that success is NOT about wealth or the big houses, or sports cars etc” Joseph said.
“I want them to see themselves as precious, gifted and sophisticated people with their own unique gifts & talent and that they should never walk away from a dream…Never allow drugs, gun and knife crimes to steal it away from them ….it is never worth it”.
Joseph has a track record of personal achievement having worked in various fields from commercial and offshore banking to the telecommunications industry.
He is now engaged in pursuit of his lifelong dream of becoming a neurosurgeon at the St. George’s University (SGU) School of Medicine.
At 26, Quamme is already a motivational speaker and has toured schools, universities and churches within the UK, delivering speeches.
The Grenada launch of the book is being managed by his local Publicist Janis Cuffie; of the Public Relations Company, N’finite Communications and by Soundproof Entertainment, a UK based PR agency.
“The Power of a Dream” has already been launched in the UK and is available in book stores and all online stores, including Amazon, Tesco, Lulu and through Quamme’s website at: www.quammejoseph.com.
The USA and Canada launch is scheduled to take place within one month of the Grenada launch and a series of launches are also scheduled within the region.
