Registration for the 2008 GCIC Intersector Netball Tournament is ongoing as this Annual Tournament is scheduled to begin on Saturday October 18, 2008.
At a recent meeting of the Grenada Netball Association and participating teams on Monday September 1, 2008 the plans for this yearʼs event were highlighted..
The registration fee this year will be $175. Each team will be provided with a copy of a International Netball Rules Book upon registering. The deadline for registration is October 3, 2008. Teams will no longer be required to provide umpires as the Grenada Netball Association (GNA) will take on this task instead.
Winners of each zone along with the second place winners will receive prizes and there will also be a play off between the winners of the two zones so that an overall winner can emerge from the competition. Other prizes will be offered in the usual categories such as Bossʼ Shoot Out, Best Team on Parade, Crowd Support etc. Teams are reminded to only register players associated with the company they will represent as is the ruleof the competition.
Another change to this yearʼs competition structure is the absence of the Miss Intersector Competition. A ʽmust goʼ event for many, it was decided that this event undergo some form of restructuring to make it a much better event in the future; one which patrons will be very satisfied to have attended.

A final meeting before the competition begins is schedule for Monday September 29, 2008 on Tanteen Netball Court at 5pm, all teams are being asked to send representatives.
